The development of the new 2012 Olympic Stadium on our Carpenters Road site has meant NEWSFAX had to relocate part of its production facilities.
Therefore, a new state of the art newspaper printing facility in the London Borough of Havering at Rainham has been established in record time.
NEWSFAX created a 4,093 sq. metre (44,063 sq ft) purpose built printing complex to provide all of the necessary newspaper printing facilities. Combined with our Stratford site it makes NEWSFAX the largest independent newspaper printer in the UK.
The site at Rainham is part of the 340 acre development project in the Thames Gateway in East London.
Our equipment includes two Man Cromoman and two Man Uniset presses, Krause CTP systems, Newsway data management systems, Ferag mailroom equipment plus two Schur inserting lines.
As the leading UK contract newspaper printer, NEWSFAX selected the Rainham site to provide immediate access to the motorway system to enable high speed distribution. The site is less than 10 minutes from M25 Junction 30 with Canary Wharf being some 15 minutes west along the A13 highway.
Underground train access is via Dagenham East on the District Line. Trains from Fenchurch Street in the City run at 30 minute intervals to Rainham.
